As a graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College-West, Dr. Portillo has been in practice since 1986. The human body’s innate power and ability to initiate the healing process has always been easy for him to acknowledge, and he honors the opportunity to awaken that knowledge in his clients through his work with them. In addition to his chiropractic training, Dr. Portillo has been involved with the Loomis Institute of Enzyme Nutrition since 1999, and promotes their protocol, emphasizing the importance of enzymes (to aid digestion) and good nutrition for each particular body type. Many of his clients have found this to be a highly effective tool in reclaiming their overall health when combined with regular chiropractic care.
“We’re committed to teaching our patients that true health is a journey, not a destination. Through educational opportunities, we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model.”
